Hall of Violence was originally
founded in 1995 by Joachim Müller as a casual hobby project
with a taste for playful electropop. Over the years, various
songs were created with different vocalists, but no official
releases followed — the band remained a creative outlet without
any commercial ambition.
Everything changed in the spring
of 2022, when Joachim met Samuel Hunt (also known as Sam H.
Hunt, from Shice Squad). At the time, Samuel was searching for
bands to contribute to a benefit sampler project aimed at
saving the Yeah Yeah Yeah Studios in Hamburg-Barmbek. Joachim
participated with a track from his other project, Different
Souls. During their exchange, Samuel learned that Joachim had
produced a few tracks under the name "Hall of Violence" back in
the late 1990s. Instantly captivated by the dark, atmospheric
style, Samuel suggested reviving the project together.
Later that same year, they
released their debut single “Der Mann” (2022) — marking the
official relaunch of Hall of Violence with a brand-new
lineup.
